MentorHip is looking for experienced Computer Science students with Ruby on Rails skills or ones that can learn quickly to help develop for an early stage start-up web company. Our mentors include VCs and Directors of Andreessen Horowitz, Microsoft, Enservio, and Amazon. We are being evaluated for funding and would love to have someone come on board quickly. The first business pitch is in mid-March, final pitch is in May.
We're developing on RoR, Heroku, Github, Slim, and Bootstrap. We've got a Northwestern CS senior, an ECE grad, and a friend from industry that does RoR for a living at a startup in California. We're searching for people with skills that want to develop some awesome code using Agile, learn, and possibly have a job out of college at a Chicago startup.
MentorHip is an open web platform that enables parents of kids to better connect with service providers. We're already partnering with park districts, YMCAs, elite athletic coaches (NFL players), local sports coaches and programs (soccer, basketball, baseball, etc), academic institutions, etc. We have a strong business model and at the end of the quarter we have the potential to become funded by one of the Venture Capitalists. Our direct board consists of:
